Gear 3 Technologies

FTP is always on Gear3's servers, anonymous login is not permitted. So any user can FTP to their directory. IF you want ot set up a directory for FTP, follow these steps:

1. Log into your site as SiteAdmin, http://www.mydomain/siteadmin

2. Go to Users, add new User, create this user and set allocated space size, ( remember this space is shared with you web space)

3. Save

4. Go to your FTP client, put in credentials you just created. i.e. host: mydomain.com

user: username_I_created

5. Have fun FTPing

Note: Gear3's does not create a seperate DNS entry forFTP (i.e. ftp.mydomain.com) unless this is specifically needed and requested; therefore you just need your domain name as the FTP host, no FTP in front of domain. ie. mydomain.com
